Membership Platform
ARSA Platform
WordPress Multisite Membership for National Association
48-year-old national organization
Unified cross-site membership
5 custom post types
The Problem
A national professional association with nearly five decades of history needed a digital platform that could serve multiple organizational divisions under one roof — with unified membership that works seamlessly across every sub-site. Off-the-shelf membership plugins assume a single-site model and break down in Multisite environments.
The Solution
The platform runs on WordPress Multisite with a custom membership layer that synchronizes user roles and access across the entire network. Five custom post types handle the association's content structure — from publications to events to member directories. Each sub-site maintains its own editorial independence while inheriting membership data from the network level.
Why It Matters
Building for an organization established in 1977 means building for institutional complexity — legacy processes, multiple stakeholder groups, and content structures that do not fit neatly into templates. The unified cross-site membership is the technical centerpiece, solving a problem that most WordPress developers avoid entirely.
